Tennessee hunters have access to nearly 63,000 acres of public hunting lands through the TWRA's Public Hunting Program, which leases land from landholding companies and establishes Public Hunting Areas (PHAs). Seasons on all PHAs are the same as the statewide seasons.
Those PHAs include:
Heartwood PHA

A permit is required to hunt the PHA, and costs $15 for adults and $12.50 for youth under age 16 and seniors over the age of 65. The permits can be purchased at Sanders Market in Linden and Main Street Market in Lobelville. For more information on Heartwood PHA, contact the TWRA's Region I office at 731-423-5725.
